I've been sick, busy planning my wedding, or working on photo editing since I got back on the Island. So today I took a time out and had a nice little adventure with my friend Tania.

First we went for lunch at the Smokin' Tuna Cafe in Sooke, which was amazingly yummy! Then we headed to the Happy Valley Lavender Farm, which was magical. It would be the perfect place for a garden wedding. The flowers are beautiful and they even have a few beds you can lounge on under the tree while you play croquet!

My beloved Macbook died while I was in Alberta so I have been wading through the thousands of photos I took in Alberta on my ancient desktop. But editing is nearly done and in the midst of my work I came across these photos of my favorite Alberta family taken at my uncles wedding reception! These kids are absolutely the cutest!!!

Right after I finished my session with the Asher and Levi in the rain, their cousin Anson and his family stopped by for their turn. I photographed Anson when he was a bun in the oven and again when he was about a year old. He is such a cute little man now!

I photograph this family almost every year, and they get cuter and cuter every year! I always look forward to seeing them when I make my visits home. We had a pretty miserable day to do photos yesterday, more of a Victoria day than a Canmore day! But we braved the rain and got some pretty cute photos with umbrellas and rain boots!!

Lia and Rene are getting married in Banff in August, and after our engagement session yesterday I am even more excited for it! These two are great at ignoring the camera and being themselves. Plus they are just bursting with laughter! We took some photos from "surprise corner" overlooking Bow Falls and the Banff Springs, and then headed down to the Cascade Gardens where an apple tree had bloomed that week just for us!
